Our silicone flanges are very durable and should last a long time if cared for properly.  When performance is good in the beginning and then starts to drop off, it's generally due to buildup of residue from milk or lubricant so that they feel slick.

We suggest a good thorough cleaning with a grease cutting dish soap like Dawn Original (yellow ducks on the label) to get them back to new condition. They should be crystal clear, and when dried, should feel "sticky" to the touch.

If that doesn't work, our earth-friendly Silicone Cleaner can restore your flanges to like-new condition.  It's also available on Amazon (different label, same ingredients).  This fabulous silicone cleaner can even be used instead of soap and water for on-the-go cleaning.

If the flanges are clear and still sticky, check all of your hose connections and valves for leaks.  If that doesn't help, we'll be happy to help troubleshoot.
